Pre-Operation Inspection

Before starting, walk around the machine and inspect all key components. Check that all cutting blades are sharp and securely fastened, rake tines are intact and not bent, all bolts and pins are tightened, hydraulic hoses show no leaks, and the PTO shaft guard is in place. Verify the tractor's hydraulic fluid and engine oil levels.

Connect to Tractor

Back the tractor to the mower's tow bar and secure the hitch pin. Connect the PTO shaft to the tractor's rear power take-off, ensuring the locking collar is fully engaged. Attach the hydraulic hoses to the tractor's remote hydraulic valves, matching the correct pressure and return lines.

Adjust Working Height

Use the hydraulic controls to lower the cutter bar and rake assembly to working position. Adjust the rubber support wheels to achieve the desired stubble height (60–70 mm). Ensure both cutter and rake sit level and parallel to the ground surface.

Engage PTO & Begin Operation

Field Mowing Pattern

Proceed in straight, overlapping passes to ensure full coverage. At headlands, disengage the PTO, raise the cutter and rake using hydraulic controls, turn the tractor, then re-lower and re-engage for the next pass. Maintain consistent forward speed for even windrow formation.

Post-Operation

After completing the field, disengage the PTO and raise the machine fully for transport. Clean any accumulated grass from the cutter bar and rake tines. Inspect blades for damage or wear. Grease all lubrication points as specified in the maintenance manual. Park the machine on level ground.

⚠ PTO Shaft Safety

Never operate the machine without the PTO shaft guard in place. Keep all bystanders away from the rotating shaft area. Never attempt to clear blockages while the PTO is engaged. Always disengage PTO and wait for all moving parts to stop completely before approaching the machine.

The reciprocating cutter bar has extremely sharp blades that move at high speed. Never reach into the cutter area during operation. Ensure the machine is completely shut down, the PTO is disengaged, and the tractor engine is off before performing blade replacement or cleaning.

This machine is designed for flat and gently sloping terrain. Avoid steep hillsides, deep ditches, and rocky ground. Always survey the field before operation to identify and mark obstacles such as rocks, stumps, and fence posts that could damage the cutter or rake.

🔒 Transport Safety

Always raise and lock the cutter bar and rake in transport position before driving on roads. Ensure safety chains are connected. Use hazard lights and slow-moving vehicle signs. Check that the machine does not exceed local road-width regulations.

Only trained and authorized operators should use this machine. Read the complete operator's manual before first use. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including hearing protection, safety boots, and eye protection. Never allow passengers to ride on the machine.
